Turner Construction wanted to create a healthier and cleaner working environment for their employees as they came back to work within an office environment. The additional goals of the project included the WELL Building Standard which Turner has implemented in a new branding initiative to include health and wellbeing at the center of its design phase process. The company has applied for both WELL and LEED certification for the building.
Turner installed AtmosSmart and AtmosAware monitoring systems designed to provide occupants with indoor air quality transparency. Currently, there are 16 AtmosAware wall mounted sensors and each of the four air handlers have an AtmosSmart in-duct sensor to control the ionization output as well as report IAQ data to the BMS (what’s BMS/say it) system. There are eight AtmosAir 500 series ion generators that have been installed specifically for air purification. A lobby view dashboard exists on a 50’ monitor on the 35 th floor reception area to show real -time indoor air data within the office space.
